We are seeking a skilled and motivated glazier to join our team for a full-time permanent position. If you have less experience or no prior experience, this is an excellent opportunity to start your career in the glass installation and repair industry. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, hardworking, and eager to learn in a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Install, replace, and repair glass in residential and commercial buildings, including windows, doors, skylights, and shower enclosures.
- Cut and fit glass according to blueprints, diagrams, or measurements provided.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ensure all installations are secure, durable, and meet safety standards.
- Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
- Assist senior team members as needed and take on more responsibilities with experience.
- Adhere to company policies, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
- Complete tasks efficiently to meet project deadlines.
Skill Requirements:
- Basic understanding of glass types (e.g., float glass, tempered glass) and their applications.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials (up to 40kg or more).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good customer service skills, as you will interact with clients and team members.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating glass sizes.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and tools.
- Time management skills to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and work in compliance with local regulations.
