Key Responsibilities:
- Lay tiles on walls, floors, or other surfaces using various materials such as ceramic, porcelain, stone, or vinyl.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and ensuring they are ready for tiling.
- Cut tiles to fit specific measurements and spaces using manual or power tools.
- Mix adhesives and apply them properly to ensure tiles adhere securely.
- Follow blueprints, diagrams, or verbal instructions to complete tiling patterns and designs.
- Assist in the selection of appropriate materials and finishes based on project requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest quality.
Skills We're Looking For:
- Basic understanding of tiling tools, techniques, and materials (experience is not required but can be an asset).
- Strong mathematical skills for measuring, cutting, and calculating tile quantities.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure precision in your work.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, and work in various positions (e.g., bending or climbing ladders).
- Time management skills to meet project deadlines.
