Job Summary
As a Furniture Maker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality furniture pieces using various woodworking techniques. This role involves cutting, shaping, assembling, and finishing materials according to designs and specifications. You'll work with a variety of tools, machinery, and materials while ensuring safety standards and maintaining attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft custom or standard furniture pieces, including chairs, tables, cabinets, and other wood products.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, or patterns to determine the sequence of assembly.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery such as saws, sanders, and routers.
- Select and prepare materials, ensuring proper cuts and measurements for each project.
- Assemble furniture components using screws, glue, and other fasteners.
- Apply finishes like staining, varnishing, or painting to complete the look of the furniture.
- Inspect and ensure all products meet quality standards before delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve efficiency.
Skill Requirements
- Basic knowledge of woodworking tools, materials, and techniques (training will be provided).
