Responsibilities:
- Measure clients and tailor clothes according to their measurements.
- Select appropriate fabrics and patterns for each project.
- Cut and sew garments, ensuring precise stitching and accurate patterns.
- Fit finished garments and make necessary adjustments.
- Operate sewing machines and hand tools effectively.
- Maintain high-quality standards in all projects.
- Follow safety guidelines while using tools and machinery.
- Communicate design ideas clearly with clients.
- Keep the workspace organized and tidy.
Skill Requirements:
- Strong tailoring skills, including both hand and machine sewing.
- Exceptional attention to detail for precise stitching.
- Excellent communication skills to discuss designs with clients.
- Basic math skills for measuring and fabric calculations.
- Adaptability to learn new techniques and stay updated on trends.
- Physical stamina for handling heavy materials and working in a dynamic environment.
Additional Information:
- Education: A diploma or relevant coursework in fashion design or tailoring is an asset but not required.
