Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate import/export documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, and shipping manifests.
- Arrange logistics for shipments, working with freight companies and customs brokers as needed.
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Coordinate with suppliers, buyers, and logistics providers to facilitate smooth transactions.
- Track and monitor shipment status, resolving any issues that arise during transit.
- Maintain detailed records of all import/export activities for audit purposes.
- Provide updates to clients or internal teams on shipment status and timelines.
- Prepare reports summarizing shipment details and related data.
- Collaborate with senior team members to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
- Stay informed about changes in export/import laws, documentation requirements, and tariffs.
- Support other departments, such as operations or sales, by providing relevant trade-related information.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and partners.
- Address escalated issues related to customs clearance, compliance, or delays.
Skill Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients, suppliers, and team members.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and compliance matters.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word) for data entry and reporting.
- Basic understanding of business processes, supply chain management, and international trade practices.
