Beef Cattle Farmer - Full-Time Permanent Position
As a Beef Cattle Farmer, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our cattle farm. You will play a key role in ensuring the health, safety, and productivity of our herd while adhering to best practices in animal welfare and sustainable agriculture.
Responsibilities:
- Daily care and feeding of the cattle, including monitoring their health and well-being.
- Assisting with breeding, birthing, and calf-rearing activities.
- Maintaining and cleaning animal housing areas, feeding equipment, and other farm facilities.
- Monitoring pasture management and ensuring proper grazing practices.
- Keeping detailed records of daily operations, including feed usage, animal health, and production metrics.
- Adhering to safety protocols and regulations related to animal handling and farming operations.
- Supporting the team in achieving farm goals and sustainability initiatives.
Skill Requirements:
- A strong work ethic and a passion for agriculture and cattle farming.
- Basic knowledge of animal husbandry, including understanding of cattle behavior, health, and nutrition.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to operate farm equipment.
