We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Disabilities Services Officer. This is a full-time, permanent position where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities. Responsibilities:

Develop and implement support plans tailored to the needs of individuals with disabilities.
Coordinate with healthcare providers, social workers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Provide advocacy and guidance to help individuals navigate systems such as healthcare, education, and employment.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided.
Collaborate with families, caregivers, and community organizations to provide holistic support.
Offer emotional support and guidance to individuals and their families.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
Attend meetings and participate in case discussions to share insights and updates.
Prepare reports and present information clearly and effectively.

Skill Requirements:

Empathy and a compassionate approach to supporting vulnerable individuals.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and professionals.
Patience and adaptability to work with diverse needs and situations.
Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
Knowledge of disabilities, community resources, and relevant legislation is an asset but not required.
Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
