As a Deer Farmer, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our deer herd, ensuring their health, welfare, and productivity. This role involves hands-on tasks such as feeding, monitoring behavior, maintaining records, and overseeing the overall well-being of the animals.
Responsibilities:
- Daily feeding and watering of the deer herd.
- Monitoring the health and behavior of the animals, reporting any concerns to the supervisor.
- Keeping accurate records of feed consumption, weight gains, and breeding cycles.
- Maintaining and cleaning enclosures, fences, and equipment.
- Assisting with breeding programs and newborn animal care.
- Ensuring compliance with local regulations and welfare standards.
- Collaborating with the team to achieve herd management goals.
Skill Requirements:
- No experience is required, but a willingness to learn is essential.
- Up to 3 years of relevant agricultural or farming experience is preferred.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to animal welfare.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of animal husbandry practices.
