Wine Maker Job - Full-Time Permanent Position
This is a full-time permanent position designed for someone who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the creation of high-quality wines. While previous experience is not required, candidates with relevant experience are also welcome to apply. If you have a genuine love for wine, a strong work ethic, and a desire to develop your skills in winemaking, this role is perfect for you.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the winemaking process, including monitoring grape fermentation, blending, and aging processes.
- Work closely with the winemaking team to ensure all steps of production are carried out efficiently and according to established protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of vineyard and winemaking activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Support senior team members in decision-making regarding wine quality and style.
- Participate in grape harvesting, pressing, and other seasonal tasks as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and facilities to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in winemaking through continuous learning and development.
Skill Requirements:
- A passion for wine and winemaking, with an interest in learning about grape varieties, viticulture, and enology.
- Basic knowledge of winemaking processes and techniques (an advantage but not required).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Good physical stamina, as the role involves standing for long periods, lifting heavy items, and working in physically demanding conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
- Time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently.
