Responsibilities:
- Shape and fabricate metal products using hand tools, forges, and other blacksmithing equipment.
- Weld, cut, and assemble metal components to create finished pieces or repairs.
- Operate machinery such as lathes, grinders, and presses to shape and finish metal materials.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions to complete projects accurately.
- Assist in maintaining tools, equipment, and inventory as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and project completion.
Skill Requirements:
- Basic understanding of metallurgy and metal properties (preferred but not required).
- Familiarity with blacksmithing tools and techniques, such as forge work, welding, and heat treating.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce precise and high-quality products.
- Physical fitness, as the role involves lifting heavy materials and working in a physically demanding environment.
- Teamplayer who can communicate effectively and collaborate with others.
- Time management skills to meet project deadlines.
- A passion for craftsmanship and a willingness to learn and grow in the trade.
