We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Livestock Farmer. This full-time, permanent position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with animals, has a strong work ethic, and is eager to contribute to sustainable livestock farming practices. Responsibilities:
- Daily care and management of livestock, including feeding, watering, and ensuring animals have access to clean shelter.
- Monitoring animal health, recognizing signs of illness or stress, and implementing appropriate measures.
- Maintaining accurate records of feed usage, animal health, and growth progress.
- Operating and maintaining farming equipment such as tractors, feeders, and other tools.
- Assisting with breeding programs, including managing reproductive health and overseeing new-born animals.
- Conducting regular inspections of pastures and pens to ensure they are clean and safe for the livestock.
- Adhering to safety protocols and regulations related to animal welfare and environmental sustainability.
Skill Requirements:
- Physical fitness and stamina, as the role involves lifting, walking long distances, and working in various weather conditions.
- A genuine passion for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of animal husbandry practices and farming techniques (experience is not required but will be an asset).
- Attention to detail and the ability to keep accurate records.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in a constantly evolving industry.
