Mixed Crop and Livestock Farmer Position

This full-time, permanent position is ideal for someone eager to work in agriculture with a hands-on approach, managing both crop and livestock operations.

Responsibilities:

Crop Management: Planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops such as grains, vegetables, and forage.
Livestock Care: Feeding animals, monitoring health, ensuring welfare standards, and managing birthing processes.
Irrigation and Soil Health: Maintaining irrigation systems, overseeing soil preparation, and implementing sustainable practices.
Record Keeping: Tracking crop yields, livestock health, feed usage, and costs to support efficient farm operations.
Machinery Maintenance: Operating and maintaining farming equipment; assisting with repairs.
Pest Control: Monitoring for pests/diseases and applying integrated pest management strategies.
Safety Compliance: Adhering to health and safety regulations, reporting hazards, and ensuring compliance.
Efficiency Improvement: Identifying areas for process optimization and cost reduction.
Environmental Stewardship: Promoting sustainability by managing waste and conserving resources.
Team Collaboration: Working with the farming team to achieve daily goals and support farm planning.
