SHEARGER (FULL-TIME PERMANENT)

We are seeking a hardworking and motivated individual to join our team as a Shearer. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to learn and grow in the construction industry. No prior experience is required, but candidates with relevant experience are welcome.

As a Shearer, you will operate shearing machinery to cut and shape materials such as metal plates or sheets according to specifications provided by blueprints, drawings, or verbal instructions. This role involves working on construction sites or in workshops, ensuring precision and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

Operate shearing machines efficiently and safely.
Follow detailed instructions from blueprints, technical drawings, or verbal communication.
Accurately measure and mark materials before cutting.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Maintain machinery by performing routine checks and reporting any issues.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to complete tasks on time.
Assist in preparing and organizing materials for shearing operations.
Perform daily site activities as assigned.

Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies.
Physical fitness to stand, lift, and handle materials throughout the day.
Basic understanding of mathematics for measurements and calculations.
Strong communication skills for receiving and clarifying instructions.
Problem-solving ability to address any issues that arise during operations.
Valid driver's license may be required for transporting equipment (if applicable).
