Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with the curriculum.
- Manage classroom behavior and create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success.
- Participate in professional development activities and contribute to school initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with teaching methodologies, educational trends, and best practices.
Skill Requirements:
- Enthusiasm for education and a passion for working with secondary school students.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to students and parents.
- Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and manage challenging situations.
- Patience, creativity, and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and balance multiple responsibilities.
- Basic understanding of technology and its application in teaching (e.g., using educational software or online resources).
Desirable Qualifications:
- A degree in Education or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Previous teaching experience, particularly in secondary education, would be an asset.
- Knowledge of curriculum standards and assessment techniques is beneficial.
