We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a full-time permanent Floor Finisher. This role involves applying finishes such as coatings, sealants, or polish to various types of floors, including hardwood, tile, concrete, and vinyl. No prior experience is required, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals who are eager to learn and grow in the flooring industry. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or applying necessary primers or sealants.
- Apply finishes such as polyurethane, wax, or polish evenly across floors using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
- Operate and maintain tools and machinery related to floor finishing, ensuring they are clean and in proper working order.
- Inspect finished floors for defects, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Work with materials like adhesives, fillers, or other products as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout the day.
- Follow safety protocols and handle chemicals or tools responsibly.
Skill Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work precisely.
- Physical stamina and willingness to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds.
- Good teamwork and communication skills, as you may collaborate with other professionals.
- Basic understanding of flooring materials and finishes (a plus but not required).
- Adaptability to learn new techniques and adapt to different flooring projects.
